Tea Cups

Something I haven’t seen from other woodturners. Others certainly may have done this, but I have turned some chinese style tea cups for my martial arts teachers. Perhaps ceremonial, but they certainly can be used daily for tea as well. Master Chang had a birthday a while back and I made a set of tea cups from 4-5 different woods for him.

Then a couple months later a friend had to take down an old japanese maple tree and I made a tea cup from some of that wood for Lu laoshi.

In total contrast; today, I finished the first of eight very large platters. Maybe more on that at a future date.

For now, a cup of tea and appreciation of delicate, fine, small objects.

All Good Wishes
